Delivery options
Effective interpreting is more than replacing words from one language with words from another. The interpreter must listen accurately, understand context and terminology, preserve meaning and tone, and communicate impartially without adding, omitting or changing the message. For organisational clients, we consider the language and dialect, specialist subject, safeguarding or confidentiality requirements, participant numbers, location, technology, accessibility, notice period and continuity needs before matching the assignment. This helps clients secure an appropriate interpreter and delivery method while maintaining professional standards across routine, sensitive and time-critical communication.
For organisations, reliable interpreting can be essential to access, informed decision-making, service quality and fair participation. LSS works to make the process straightforward: clients provide the assignment details, language requirements and context; we identify an appropriate linguist and confirm the suitable delivery arrangement. Where continuity matters, recurring requirements can be coordinated with consistent briefing information and preferred linguist arrangements, subject to availability.
Our linguists are selected for professional competence, language capability and suitability for the assignment. Depending on the setting, this may include relevant sector experience, confidentiality expectations and appropriate vetting. We support both one-off assignments and regular language-access requirements, with responsive coordination for urgent work and careful preparation for complex or high-stakes meetings.

Participants connect through an agreed video platform. Visual cues support communication while avoiding travel and widening access to specialist linguists.
Audio-only interpreting for urgent, short or straightforward conversations. It is practical when participants are in different locations or video is unsuitable.
Planned language support for formal events, presentations and multi-participant meetings, including coordination of languages, format and equipment.
Interpreting methods
The method is agreed according to the pace, formality, complexity and number of participants.
The speaker pauses after a sentence or short passage while the interpreter conveys the message. Suitable for appointments, interviews, consultations and smaller meetings.
The interpreter renders the message in real time while the speaker continues. Commonly used for conferences, presentations and larger events, often with specialist equipment.
A form of simultaneous interpreting delivered quietly to one or two listeners, where the wider meeting takes place mainly in another language.
Short exchanges are interpreted in both directions to enable direct conversation between individuals or small groups.
The message passes through an additional interpreter or bridging language when a direct language combination is not available.
A linguist reads a written document and conveys its meaning orally in another language. It is used only where appropriate and is not a substitute for a certified written translation.
Professional practice
Our interpreters are expected to convey the speaker’s meaning accurately without adding, omitting, summarising or offering personal advice. They maintain professional boundaries, identify potential conflicts and treat assignment information confidentially.
